As a friend of MVHI, you know how difficult the past few years have been for our communities.  We continue to face a difficult economy and government budget reductions.  Throughout, MVHI’s staff, Board members, and supporters have remained dedicated to delivering high quality public health services and to building strong partnerships with towns and fellow organizations:

• MVHI has been a key partner over the past two years for school and community-based flu vaccine clinics.  We are committed to maintaining our leadership on immunization throughout NH’s Upper Valley;
• MVHI has assumed a leadership role in substance abuse prevention in the Upper Valley, with a particular focus on both coalition-building in the Mascoma Valley and creating healthy activities for youth;
• MVHI recently completed a rural health-needs assessment to determine priorities for our rural residents.  A Valley News Editorial highlighting this work is enclosed herein; and
• In developing new programs, MVHI staff are determined to support projects that will address priorities identified in the Upper Valley Healthy Community Project.
